I've always had a love of soccer (as it is know here in the U.S.) and American football. Both sports start their seasons at about the same time each year. Every Saturday, I'm torn between watching Fox Soccer Chanel and ESPN's Game Day. FSC seems to win out most of the time. During the two years we lived in New York my love of this game grew. I sort of adopted Manchester United as my favorite team partly because I knew that I had kin folk who lived near Manchester, England. I guess an American adopting Man United is kind of like a European adopting the Dallas Cowboys. Regardless of the reasons, I have become a HUGE Man United fan. I even brought home a Man United t-shirt from my trip to the UK this past May. I loved watching Man United win the UEFA Champion's League and the Premier League last year.
But we sure are off to a rough start in 2008-2009. We were 1 win and 1 draw heading into today's important match against Liverpool and came out a 2-1 looser. Manchester United are pros, and they'll probably end up winning the league again this year, but it's painful to see them off to such a lousy start. So, let's get back in it Devils! I'll be watching next week after church for a VERY important match again their biggest rival, Chelsea! "Glory, glory Man U!"
